State-of-the-Art Equine Care for Ventura & Los Angeles County Horses

Since 1994, Progressive Equine has been providing full-service ambulatory equine care to horses throughout Ventura and Los Angeles counties. Our goal is to provide state-of-the-art medical care for all of our horse patients, from pleasure horses to performance and sport horses. Because we are an ambulatory practice, we are able to assess horse whole-herd health, taking into account living conditions, social issues, and physical well-being.

Progressive Equine is uniquely qualified to provide the best of both Western and Eastern medicine to our horse patients. Dr. Kate Barber brings a fresh medical perspective and strives to practice the most advanced ambulatory medicine there is available. Dr. Brad Dygert and Dr. Linda Rydgig are both graduates of the U.C. Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and combined have been practicing equine veterinary care for more than 40 years. Dr. Rydgig is also certified in equine acupuncture. In addition, Dr. Rydgig offers Chinese herbal therapy to clients looking for complementary medical treatments.

Progressive Equine provides comprehensive equine veterinary care in the comfort of your own setting. We provide full wellness exams, lameness evaluations, purchase exams, diagnostics, and more. The office is open to schedule appointments Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Appointments can be made any time throughout the day Monday through Friday. We are also available 24/7 for emergencies for all of our clients.
